CONSENT MANAGMENT

The Commlttee grants consent Under Section 25 of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Under Section 21 of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the discharge of trade effluents and discharge of emissions respectively. These consents are granted subject to some conditions regarding adherence to standards are given. The Committee also grants Authorization under Bio Medical Rules & Hazardous Waste Rules. The Committee has authorized the Chairman and Member Secretary to grant consents as detailed below:

Chairman:

1. To give approval for grant the Consent to Establish/Operate/Renew/Authorize for Hospitals/Health Care Facilities have more than 50 beds or Capital investment more than 5 Crore.
2. To give approval for grant the Consent to Establish/Operate/Renew for all the industries under the Red Category and Capital Investment more than Rs 10 Crore in the Orange Category.
3. To give approval for grant the Consent to Establish/Operate/Renew for all the hotels under the Red Category and Orange Category in the Capital investment of more than 10 Crore.

Member Secretary:

1. To give approval for grant the Consent to Establish/Operate/Renew/Authorize for Hospitals/Health Care Facilities have less than 50 beds or Capital Investment less than 5 Crore.
2. To give approval for grant the Consent to Establish/Operate/Renew for all the industries under the White and Green Category and Capital Investment under the 10 Crore of the Orange category industry.
3. To give approval for grant the Consent to Establish/Operate/Renew for all the hotels under the Green Category and Orange Category in the Capital investment of less than 10 Crore.
